Access

You can get to Zamami by ferry, from Tomari Port in Naha. There are 2 ferries running between Naha and Zamami: Ferry Zamami and the high-speed Queen Zamami.

Getting to Tomari Port from Naha Airport

Taxi

Taxi is the quickest and easiest way to get from the airport to Tomari Port. It takes about 15 minutes and the fare is about ¥1,500. Taxis in Okinawa are relatively cheap, with a starting fare of between ¥500 and ¥550.

Bus

The cheapest way to get to Tomari Port from the airport. The average duration is about 30 minutes and the fare is ¥220 per person.

City Bus

Bus to board: No. 99 / Ameku New Urban Core Line
Bus stop to get off at: Tomari Takahashi

You can also get to Tomari Port on the No. 120 bus (Nago West Airport Line). However, this route goes via Kokusai Street so it takes longer, and the bus stop is a short distance from Tomari Port.

Both the No. 99 and No. 120 buses depart from stop number 3 at Naha Airport.

 

Highway Express Bus

The Yanbaru Express Bus goes direct from Naha Airport to Tomari Port. It takes about 15 minutes and the fare is ¥220 per person.

Monorail

The monorail is an inexpensive and quick way to get to Tomari Port. It takes about 15 minutes and the fare is ¥300. The monorail comes about once every 10 minutes.
Board at: Naha Airport Station
Get off at: Miebashi Station

Miebashi Station is about a 15-minute walk from Tomari Port. If you have heavy luggage you might want to consider taking a taxi from the station to the port. The fare should cost about ¥500 to ¥600.

Getting to Zamami from Tomari Port 

Ferry Zamami

Duration: 120 minutes (one stop at Aka Island)
1 Ferry per day

One-way fare: ¥2,120
Round-trip fare: ¥4,030

 

Queen Zamami (Express)

Duration: 60 minutes
Low season: 2 ferries per day
High season: 3 ferries per day

One-way fare: ¥3,140
Round-trip fare: ¥5,970

 

Ferry Landing


The boarding points for Ferry Zamami and Queen Zamami are in different places so please make sure you go to the correct landing. Tickets can be purchased at either landing.

Ferry Zamami boards at Tomarin (South Landing) and Queen Zamami boards at North Landing. If you are taking a taxi please tell the driver which landing you are headed for.

Reservations and inquiries can be made by calling the Zamami Village Office Naha Branch on 098-868-4567. The office is open every day from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

    Getting to Yuumi House from Zamami Port 

    Leaving Zamami Port, turn right at the traffic lights, and then take the first left up the hill. You will go past Shirahama Islands Resort up and over the hill. At the bottom of the hill you will see a sign for Asa Hamlet. It’s about 2km from Zamami Port to Asa.

    When Asa Port and the bus stop are on your right, turn left in front of Villa Fuu. Keep going straight until you reach the end of the road, and turn left. Yuumi House should be immediately on your right.

    By bus

    It takes about 10 minutes from Zamami Port to Asa Bus Stop, and from there it is a 2-minute walk to Yuumi House. The bus also strops at Furuzamami Beach and Ama Beach.

    Renting a car

    The bus only runs until the early evening, so if you want to be able to move around Zamami freely we recommend renting a car, motorbike or bicycle.
